Admissions

Northern Montessori School encourages applications from all students. We look for children and parents who share our goal of a nurturing, cooperative atmosphere in which students are challenged to reach their full potential in their intellectual, physical, and artistic pursuits.

The admissions procedure is a two-fold process. It is designed to give parents an opportunity to learn about the school, its philosophy and policies, and to meet our administration and teachers. It also gives us an opportunity to assess your child's situation and determine whether we are able to meet the needs and expectations of the parents. Our goal is to enroll families who will both benefit from and contribute to what the school has to offer.

To enroll your child in NMS

• Parents are encouraged to schedule a tour with the admission office. At this time parents will receive
  an application package and an introduction to the school.
• Parents are encouraged to observe a classroom in session, tour the school and speak with the teachers.

• Parents are encouraged to complete the application form after their tour has been completed or as soon as possible thereafter.
• If distance or time does not permit you to visit, we ask that you call and discuss your needs and any questions with our admissions officer and one of our teachers.
